WHAT IS LOVE tells the story of three friends navigating the ruthless music industry of the 1990s. It is a heartfelt tale of love, friendship, and the hidden cost behind the groundbreaking sound that made the whole world dance.
WHAT IS LOVE is pure 90s nostalgia in a brand-new musical. The music is the soundtrack of your 90s, featuring iconic hits from Snap, Technotronic, AQUA, Dr. Alban, Ten Sharp, Backstreet Boys—and of course Haddaway—all reimagined in fresh new versions produced especially for the show by Chief 1.
The production had its world premiere at Fredericia Musical Theater and is now on its way out into the world, where we look forward to sharing its heartfelt story and pulsating beats with audiences everywhere.
