Ny stor dansk musical skal erobre Broadway og West End og starte international eksporteventyr<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For f\u00f8rste gang nogensinde har Aqua givet rettighederne til, at det verdenskendte bands musik og historie forvandles til en original musical \u2013 AQUA THE MUSICAL – der skal s\u00e6tte dansk musical p\u00e5 verdenskortet. Forestillingen produceres af produktionsselskabet AHA Creations og f\u00e5r verdenspremiere i Operaen i K\u00f8benhavn i 2028.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCome on Barbie, let\u2019s go party\u201d mere beh\u00f8ver man nok ikke at sige, f\u00f8r de fleste forst\u00e5r, hvor det kommer fra. Aqua har sat fest og farver p\u00e5 millioner af menneskers liv. Med gruppens helt enest\u00e5ende univers har de underholdt og leveret megahits til hele verden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I 2028 g\u00f8r Danmarks absolut st\u00f8rste popband nogensinde sig klar til at indtage scenen p\u00e5 en helt ny m\u00e5de, da de for f\u00f8rste gang har givet lov til, at der kan skabes en stor international musicalproduktion rundt om deres sange og historie. Den danske musicalproducent AHA Creations har f\u00e5et globale rettigheder til titlen i minimum 25 \u00e5r og har sat en stor original musical i udvikling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Med titlen AQUA THE MUSICAL og en verdenspremiere i Operaen i K\u00f8benhavn vil AHA Creations udvikle en musical, der fra f\u00f8rste f\u00e6rd t\u00e6nkes med internationalt potentiale og blikket rettet mod de allerst\u00f8rste musicalscener i verden, fra West End til Broadway, fra Hamburg til Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interessen for musicalen r\u00e6kker allerede ud over Danmarks gr\u00e6nser, hvor internationale akt\u00f8rer har vist tydelig engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Konceptet AQUA THE MUSICAL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

AHA Creations vil fort\u00e6lle historien om et af de st\u00f8rste popbands nogensinde, produceret i en skala og et omfang, som ikke er set f\u00f8r i dansk musical. Forestillingen skal udfordre ikke blot det traditionelle sceniske musikfort\u00e6llingsformat, men ogs\u00e5 skubbe til gr\u00e6nserne for, hvad der i \u00f8jeblikket er teknisk muligt i en musikdramatisk forestilling, uden at g\u00e5 p\u00e5 kompromis med essensen af v\u00e6rket \u2013 historien selv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AQUA THE MUSICAL vil tage publikum med tilbage til bandets gennembrud og fort\u00e6lle historien om Danmarks st\u00f8rste popf\u00e6nomen p\u00e5 en overraskende ny m\u00e5de. Prisvindende kr\u00e6fter bag AQUA THE MUSICAL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Til at realisere den danske musicalsatsning har AHA Creations samlet nogle af de bedste musicalkr\u00e6fter herhjemme. Thomas Agerholm og Benjamin La Cour skal som henholdsvis instrukt\u00f8r og scenograf oms\u00e6tte Aquas musikalske arv til en sensationel og original teateroplevelse. Thomas Agerholm og Benjamin La Cour er de kreative kr\u00e6fter bag nogle af de st\u00f8rste kunstneriske og kommercielle succeser i moderne dansk musicalhistorie. Sammen har de bl.a. st\u00e5et bag k\u00e6mpesucceser
som den prisvindende Disney-musical Klokkeren fra Notre Dame (2019), den nyskrevne Seebach The Musical (2018) og The Last Ship (2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claus Reenberg, Mads \u00c6bel\u00f8e og Nikolaj Tarp er dramatikerne bag AQUA THE MUSICAL. Trioen har tidligere v\u00e6ret involveret i nogle af de mest markante musicalprojekter i Danmark. Dansk musicalhistorie skal skrives med Aqua<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ingen dansk musicalproduktion har f\u00f8r haft international eksport som m\u00e5l i sig selv, ej heller er det lykkes at skabe eftersp\u00f8rgsel p\u00e5 en danskproduceret musical i udlandet i st\u00f8rre stil. Det vil AHA Creations med AQUA THE MUSICAL v\u00e6re de f\u00f8rste til at lykkes med.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aqua blev dannet i 1996 og slog hurtigt internationalt igennem med en s\u00e6rlig blanding af eurodance, pop og humor. Gruppen best\u00e5r p\u00e5 dette tidspunkt af Lene Nystr\u00f8m, Ren\u00e9 Dif, S\u00f8ren Rasted og Claus Norreen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I 1997 udkom Aqua med deres f\u00f8rste album Aquarium og nummeret Barbie Girl blev p\u00e5 rekordtid et hit i hele verden med nummer \u00e9t-placeringer i 14 lande og top ti i mange flere. Verden elskede Barbie Girl og debutalbummet, og p\u00e5 en enkelt uge blev der solgt \u00e9n million Aquarium-eksemplarer. Efter succesen med Aquarium fulgte albummet Aquarius i 2000 med hits som Cartoon Heroes og Around the World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I 2001 gik bandet i opl\u00f8sning, men deres musik blev ved med at leve i radio og p\u00e5 dansegulve. I 2007 fandt de sammen igen, og i 2011 udkom albummet Megalomania. Siden har Aqua spillet p\u00e5 store festivaler og turneret verden rundt. I 2023 fik Aqua en global high, da Barbie Girl blev brugt i den Oscar-vindende film Barbie med Margot Robbie og Ryan Gosling. Sample-versionen af originalnummeret, Barbie World (med Nicki Minaj og Ice Spice), gik top ti i flere lande – blandt andet USA og Storbritannien – og fik til og med to Grammy-nomineringer. Endvidere genererede originalen over 47 millioner nye Spotify-streams i l\u00f8bet af seks m\u00e5neder, hvilket bringer det samlede streamingtal over
600 millioner i dag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aqua har netop afsluttet deres turn\u00e9 i Canada og bekr\u00e6fter dermed, at de fortsat er aktive og relevante p\u00e5 den internationale musikscene. Aqua st\u00e5r i dag som et af de mest markante danske musikeksporter nogensinde, kendt for at g\u00f8re ironisk pop global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after the curtain fell for the last time on the critically acclaimed musical experience WICKED at Fredericia Musical Theatre, the theatre could also reveal that the spectacular musical, produced by Fredericia Musical Theatre and AHA Creations, has been sold to Norway\u2019s largest musical producer Scenekvelder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AHA Creations and Fredericia Musical Theatre enter a new strategic collaboration with the aim of producing top-level musicals with a strong financial foundation.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fredericia Musical Theatre announces a strategic collaboration with production company, AHA Creations, which aims to create unique musical experiences in Fredericia. Together, they intend to build and develop a world-class musical ecosystem, building upon the theatre\u2019s successful musical heritage.

AHA Creations, an Endeavour company, is a modern production company at the forefront of innovative, story-led musicals on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting the scene for world class musicals \u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Theatre Director at Fredericia Musical Theatre, Thomas Bay, and Artistic Director, Martin Palme Skriver at AHA Creations both see the collaboration as a decisive step forward:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe theatre is now ready to take a big step towards becoming one of Denmark\u2019s leading music producers. The theatre is already running well with strong artistic successes, and we are of course sticking to the new line we have laid out for Fredericia Musical Theatre with experimental musicals as well as musicals for children and young people. Through the collaboration with AHA Creations, the Theatre now gets the extra financial safety net it needs to go up a higher gear,\u201d <\/em>says Thomas Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AHA Creations and Fredericia Musical Theatre will produce one major musical together per season from autumn 2024 and onwards. The musicals will either be completely new musical productions or international productions from Broadway or the West End. All performances will feature a combination of elements that are sure to captivate audiences. These include compelling storytelling, music of the highest quality, impressive scenography and costumes, and the best artists both on and behind the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are very happy to enter into this collaboration with Fredericia Musical Theatre and I personally couldn\u2019t imagine any better place to start our journey than in the city where I myself am from and was shaped by. With our experience, joy in telling stories and a strong financial foundation combined with the theatre\u2019s long-standing musical culture and know-how in producing successful musicals, we are convinced that we can create something completely unique in Fredericia,\u201d <\/em>Martin Palme Skriver concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The worldwide musical phenomenon WICKED becomes the first production<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The first musical is the famous Broadway musical, WICKED, in a new and original version, with the great Danish musical talents Johanne Milland and Nanna Rossen in the two leading roles.

WICKED is one of the world\u2019s best-selling musicals of all time. And the Danish audience can look forward to experiencing a new spectacular version of the legendary musical about the witches of Oz. The upcoming production of WICKED can not only be experienced in Fredericia, but also in Copenhagen. Fredericia Musical Theatre has, together with Tivoli<\/strong><\/a>, ensured that WICKED will also come to the capital, where Tivoli will be co-producer of the set-up in the Concert Hall.

The performance will first premiere at Fredericia Musical Theater on 18 September 2024, and from 11 October it can be experienced in Tivoli\u2019s Concert Hall in a co-production with Tivoli in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building a strong musical ecosystem in Fredericia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To achieve the ambitious goals, Fredericia Musical Theatre and AHA Creations must continue building on the specialised flair within the musical genre, which the Musical Academy and the theater in Fredericia have built up over many years.

The overall ambition is to develop a musical ecosystem, which will ensure a foundation for top-class musicals and in the long term have a significant influence on the development of musical talent in Fredericia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
